Jacaranda Trees

Its that time once again to see the beautiful blooms of the Jacaranda trees. What is a Jacaranda you ask? You can't help but noticing them driving around Southern California this time of year. They are the trees with the wonderful purple/lavender flowers all over the place. Most of the year these trees are pretty non-descript. My wife asked me yesterday, "What do Jacarandas look like the rest of the year?" I guess they just blend in and we don't even seem to notice them. At times in our lives we are like the Jacaranda. We blend in and no one seems to notice us. But we were all created with a purpose and like the Jacaranda, when we bloom everyone notices. When we bloom for Christ, we share His message with the world. When you see the Jacarandas as you drive around this week remember the words of Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,"

Don't know what a Jacaranda looks like? Take a look at the picture under this post.

God Bless!!!
