“It Shall Come to Pass…Perpetuity”

Text: Isaiah 35

IN Christ the eternal becomes mortal so that THROUGH Christ mortals might inherit eternity. 

Embracing this truth does not cause us to be so "heavenly minded that we are of no earthly good" as the old saying goes.  Quite the contrary, trusting this truth enables and equips us to minister in the immediacy of the momentary sorrows and joys of life. 

Trusting that IN Christ (the eternal became mortal) so that THROUGH Christ mortals might inherit eternity… allows us to fully rejoice with those who rejoice, to recognize the good in a moment and confess the Lord as the ultimate author thereof; yet at the same time never forget that far greater is to come at His final Advent.

Trusting that IN Christ (the eternal became mortal) so that THROUGH Christ mortals might inherit eternity… allows us to weep with those who weep, to admit that the trails and traumas of life are deeply painful and often confusing; yet to hold to the truth that they are temporary and pale in comparison to the glory that awaits us when our wait is at an end and He comes again.
