Sermon: “The Guest Composer”

Text: 1 Corinthians 10

To be composed is one thing...to follow THE Composer is another altogether. Luther composed the following hymn that can serve as a prayer to those who would be composed by following the Composer:  

Holy Spirit, Light Divine (LSB 496 – stanzas 2 & 3)

Let me see my Savior’s face,

Let me all His beauties trace;

Show those glorious truths to me

Which are only known to Thee.

Holy Spirit, pow’r divine,

Cleanse this guilty heart of mine;

In Thy mercy pity me,

From sin’s bondage set me free.
